Kansas City Chiefs running back Charcandrick West left Sunday’s 33–3 win over the San Diego Chargers in the second half with a hamstring injury and did not return. He is day-to-day, head coach Andy Reid said.
Shortly after a one-yard reception on third down with 11:23 to go in the third quarter, West was seen being looked at on the sidelines. He left with 16 yards rushing and 48 receiving.
He was replaced by Spencer Ware, who carried the ball 11 times for 96 yards and two touchdowns.
West had rushed for a touchdown in each game since replacing injured running back Jamaal Charles as the starter in Week 7.
After the game, West was giddy about the team’s win:
GOD IS AMAZING!! GOOD TEAM WIN!!
