The Seattle Seahawks have released cornerback Cary Williams, NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reports.

Williams, who signed a three-year, $18 million deal over the off-season that included $7 million guaranteed, was a healthy inactive for a second straight week on Sunday.

He started the team’s first 10 games of the season, but was benched in the third quarter of the team’s Week 11 win over the 49ers.

The 30-year-old started his career with the Tennessee Titans in 2008 before playing parts of four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens. He spent the last two years with the Philadelphia Eagles before signing with the Seahawks last summer.
