New Orleans Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks did not practice Thursday after being listed as questionable on the team’s injury report with a concussion.

The team has not addressed when or how Cooks suffered the injury. He fully participated in practice on Wednesday and had not made an appearance on the injury report until Thursday.

Cooks is the Saints’ leading receiver this season, recording 61 receptions for 840 yards and seven touchdowns through Week 13. He is by far quarterback Drew Brees’ favorite receiver, being targeted 98 times.

If the Cooks injury is serious, it would be the second major loss on offense for New Orleans this week after starting running back Mark Ingram was placed on injured reserve with a torn rotator cuff.

The team’s second-leading receiver, Willie Snead, was also limited in practice with a calf injury.

The Saints (4–8) play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6–6) on the road Sunday.
