Baltimore Ravens placed left tackle Eugene Monroe on injured reserve, ending his season, the team announced on Saturday.

Monroe sustained a shoulder injury in Baltimore’s 16–13 victory over the St. Louis Rams on Nov. 22, and had not practiced since. On Friday, he was ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Monroe, 28, was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first round of the 2009 draft and traded to the Ravens in Oct. 2013. The seven-year veteran signed a five-year, $37.5 million deal before the 2014 season.

Since signing his new contract, Monroe has dealt with numerous injuries, missing 12 of 30 games (including playoffs).

The Ravens (4–8) host the Seahawks (7–5) on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
