Watch: Titans RB Antonio Andrews throws long TD to QB Marcus Mariota
Running back Antonio Andrews threw a 41-yard touchdown pass to quarterback Marcus Mariota.
Tennessee Titans running back Antonio Andrews was a quarterback in high school, so to residents of Fort Campbell, Ky., his touchdown pass on Sunday was no surprise.
To the Jets, and the rest of the country, it was a spectacle.
With the Titans trailing the Jets 27–0 in the third quarter, Andrews took a direct snap on 1st-and-10 from the Jets’ 41-yard line and ran right. On the move, he fired a long pass down the right sideline to hit quarterback Marcus Mariota, who dusted a Jets cornerback, in stride.
Mariota ran it in for a 41-yard touchdown, and then passed to Dexter McCluster on the following play to convert for two points and make the score 27–8.
