Houston Texans linebacker Jadeveon Clowney missed practice Wednesday with a foot injury, the team announced.

Clowney, the oft-injured top pick in the 2014 draft, injured his left foot during Sunday’s 34–6 win over the Tennessee Titans. Head coach Bill O’Brien said earlier in the week that Clowney was day-to-day and that he had sustained no structural damage. O’Brien left open the possibility that Clowney could play in Week 17 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Clowney has dealt with multiple injuries since arriving in the league, most notably a knee injury last season that needed microfracture surgery. He has missed two games this season with ankle and back issues.

The Texans are 8–7 after winning consecutive games and can clinch a playoff spot and the AFC South with a win on Sunday. Brian Hoyer is set to return from a concussion and start at quarterback against the Jaguars.
