Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams was carted off with an ankle injury during the second quarter against the Browns and will not return, the team announced.

Williams was seen grabbing his right leg after rushing for a six-yard gain, and was able to put no weight on it as he left the field.

Before leaving, Williams had five carries for a total of eight yards, and added 13 yards receiving on two catches. He was replaced by Fitzgerald Toussaint on the following drive.

The Steelers can make the playoffs with a win over the Browns, coupled with a loss by the Jets.
