Tampa Bay Buccaneers fullback Jorvorskie Lane left Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers after sustaining a gruesome ankle injury.

At the conclusion of a short run by Doug Martin, Lane was still blocking a defender when center Joe Hawley crashed into his right leg and drove it into the ground.

Lane was on the field for a considerable amount of time, and was carted off.

You can view video of the injury here, though it is graphic in nature.
