Brian Hoyer’s playoff debut did not go very smoothly.

The Texans quarterback tossed three interceptions in the first half against the Chiefs, also fumbling once, and helping Houston dig itself a 13–0 hole at halftime.

Hoyer completed 7–14 passes for 61 yards in the half as the Texans struggled to put together a drive against a tough Chiefs defense.

Let’s run them all back. There was this one, on Houston’s second drive of the game...

Then, he fumbled on the next drive.

A little later, there was this interception.

And...one more.

Hoyer would throw one more interception in the second half on the way to a 30–0 loss.

Texans head coach Bill O’Brien said after the game that he never considered benching Hoyer, who finished with a line of 15–34 passing for 136 yards and four interceptions.
