Watch: Vikings K Blair Walsh misses potential game-winning 27-yard FG

Vikings kicker Blair Walsh missed a 27-yard field goal attempt that would have given his team a two-point lead over the Seahawks in the closing seconds of Sunday’s NFC playoff game.
“It’s a chip shot,” head coach Mike Zimmer told reporters after the game. “He’s got to make it.”
Replays showed that holder Jeff Locke put the ball down with laces facing Walsh, though Walsh made a 47-yard field goal earlier in the game with the laces in.
• EXTRA MUSTARD: The internet had fun at the Vikings’ expense
Former NFL punter and holder Zoltan Mesko weighed in on how the laces can affect the kick, as did former Vikings kicker Chris Kluwe.
Just so you guys are aware, putting the laces straight back to the kicker does not affect direction as much as distance. #MINvsSEA
