After defeating the Cardinals in the NFC Championship Game, the Panthersopened as a 3.5-point favorite over the Broncos in Super Bowl betting.

On the first day of the regular season, the Panthers were given 65-1 odds to win the Super Bowl, while the Broncos were listed at 7-1. 

The Super Bowl appearance is Carolina’s second in franchise history. The Panthers lost Super Bowl XXXVIII to the Patriots after the 2003 season. Denver is returning to the Super Bowl for the second time in three years, after getting blown out by the Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII.

Super Bowl 50 will be held on Feb. 7 in Santa Clara, Calif., at Levi’s Stadium, the home of the 49ers. Clete Blakeman will be the referee.
