John Elway dedicated Denver’s victory in Super Bowl 50 to Broncos owner Pat Bowlen after the game.

Elway has worked for the Broncos franchise for nearly 20 years, either as a player or in the front office. Bowlen took over the team in 1984, Elway’s second season with the team. Bowlen stepped away from the team in July 2014 due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease.

Elway won two Super Bowls with the Broncos as a player, in 1997 and ’98. The franchise captured their third title with the win Sunday. Bowlen’s wife Annabel accepted the Vince Lombardi Trophy from commissioner Roger Goodell.
