Facebook is making a bid to host the NFL’s Thursday Night Football package.

The social media platform is trying to secure the rights for the online live-stream of Thursday night games, vice president of partnerships Dan Rose toldVariety. Others trying to secure the live-stream rights include Amazon and Verizon, the magazine reports.

“We’re talking to a lot of folks about live [video]. There are a ton of types of content that can fit under this format,” Rose said. He added “we’ll see” when asked if Facebook will ultimately secure the live-stream right.

NBC and CBS bought the television rights for the Thursday night package for the next two years. Each network will pay $225 million to broadcast five games each in 2016 and 2017.

The NFL has been more amenable to showing games online in recent seasons. Last year, Yahoo! hosted the first online live-stream of a regular season game. Playoff games in each of the last two seasons have been live-streamed online, and FOX offers a live-stream option for in-market games with the FOX Sports Go app.
