Eagles trade running back DeMarco Murray to Titans
The Philadelphia Eagles have traded running back DeMarco Murray to the Tennessee Titans, his representatives confirmed on Twitter. ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported the deal.
Murray has agreed to a new contract with the Titans but his guaranteed salary will remain the same, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.
In exchange for Murray, the Eagles and Titans will swap fourth round selections in the draft, reportsThe Tennessean’s John Glennon. Now, Philadelphia will have the No. 97 pick, while Tennessee will use the No. 110 selection.
In late February, a report surfaced that the Eagles were open to listening to trade offers for the running back.
Murray joined the Eagles in 2015 after spending four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. He played in 15 games for Philadelphia last season, running 193 times for 702 yards and six touchdowns. He complainedpublicly about his playing time with the Eagles, saying he needed to run the ball more often.

Murray’s role with the team was significantly diminished compared to his final season with the Cowboys, when he recorded 392 carries and 1,845 yards. Philadelphia signed him to a five-year, $40 million contract last March, which includes $18 million in guaranteed money.
