NFL free agency round up: Iloka, Jones, McCoy sign
Wednesday March 9th, 2016

Free-agent wide receiver Marvin Jones will sign with the Lions, according to multiple reports.

ESPN’s Dianna Marie Russini first reported the news. Jones will earn about $8 million per year, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports, though it isn’t yet clear how long the contract is.

Jones was the Bengals’ second leading receiver last season, with 65 catches for 816 yards and four touchdowns. He missed the entire 2014 season with a foot injury.’s Greg Bedard ranked Jones as the top receiver available and the No. 15 free agent overall.

Jones will help fill the void left by the retirement of Calvin Johnson, who announced Monday that he was leaving the game after nine seasons.
