Former Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Andre Smith has signed a one-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings, he announced on Twitter on Thursday.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the deal is worth $3.5 million, and Smith can earn an additional $1 million in incentives.

Smith had visited Minnesota earlier this week, but left without a contract, according to a report by ESPN.

The 6'3", 340-pound tackle had played all seven years of his NFL career in Cincinnati after being selected by them in the first round of the 2009 NFL draft.

Bears trade TE Martellus Bennett to the Patriots

Smith joins guard Alex Boone as the next new addition to the Vikings’ offensive line.
