Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman wants a $16 million deal, reports The Charlotte Observer’s Joseph Person.

The Panthers are currently working on a contract with Norman, who has not yet signed the franchise tag the team placed on him on March 1. Signing the tag would guarantee that Norman earns just under $14 million in 2016. A $16 million deal would make him the highest paid cornerback in the NFL.

The 28-year-old was a Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro selection in 2015 after posting 56 tackles, three forced fumbles and four interceptions during the regular season.

Norman was selected by the Panthers in the fifth round of 2012 draft out of Coastal Carolina.
