The off-season is in a lull, as NFL teams are focused on minicamps and working on deals with players set to hit the market next year. However, there is still plenty of buzz around the league.

Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib was shot in the leg Sunday morning, and it appears the wound was self-inflicted. Mike Klis of 9 News in Denver reports Talib told those close to him he accidentally shot himself

• The Carolina Panthers announced they agreed to a two-year contract extension with center Ryan Kalil.

• The San Diego Chargers and wide receiver Keenan Allen are in talks for a long-term extension, reports NFL.com. The two sides are discussing a four- or five-year deal. 

• Marshawn Lynch is going to follow through with his plan to retire. The former Seattle Seahawks running back made that clear in a Sports Illustrated/60 Minutes interview, saying he was done playing in the NFL.

Green Bay Packers cornerback Quinten Rollins is battling a dislocated finger, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Rollins said he likely caught his finger on his helmet, although he didn’t realize the extent of the injury until he saw part of the bone sticking out of his hand.

• The Los Angeles Rams have signed quarterback Dylan Thompson, reports NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport. Thompson was cut by the San Francisco 49ers last month.

• The Rams also added defensive tackle Cam Thomas, his agent announced on Twitter. Thomas had spent the last two years with the Pittsburgh Steelers, starting two games.
