The Chicago Bears have signed cornerback Brandon Boykin, the team announced.
Boykin has 37 career passes defensed and eight interceptions. He played last season with the Pittsburgh Steelers and was then signed and released by the Carolina Panthers in the off-season.
The Bears have options at cornerback with Tracy Porter and Kyle Fuller on the roster.
Earlier this offseason, Boykin appeared on SI's Audibles podcast to share his experience about what NFL free agency is like.
Chicago also signed wide receiver B.J. Daniels, which brings the roster to the 90-player maximum.
