Pass interference on Richard Sherman here?
The Atlanta Falcons came back from a 14-point halftime deficit to take a late lead on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, only to lose it and fall short in their second comeback effort on a controversial call.
After nine unanswered points, Seattle led Atlanta 26–24 in the final minutes of the game. As the Falcons drove down the field, their drive stalled a bit, bringing up a fourth down.
That was when star wideout Julio Jones went up to catch a ball against Richard Sherman and came up empty. Upon viewing a replay, it was clear Sherman pulled Jones down before he could catch the ball, but wasn’t called for a penalty.
Jones, who had seven catches for 139 yards and one touchdown in the game, said he was definitely interfered with on the play.
"Before I took off, (Sherman) grabbed my right side and spun me around before I jumped up," Jones said after the game. "But it was just a missed call. It's over with. It's done. We're on to the next right now."
Seattle held on, improving to 4–1. Atlanta fell to 4–2.
