Reports: Lions trade LB Kyle Van Noy to Patriots
Tuesday October 25th, 2016

The Lions have traded linebacker Kyle Van Noy to the Patriots, ESPN’s Field Yates and James Walker report.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Patriots will send their sixth-round pick in the 2017 draft to the Lions and receive the Lions’s seventh-round pick in return as part of the trade.

Van Noy was the 40th pick in the 2014 draft out of BYU, but missed much of his rookie year with an abdominal injury. He joined the starting lineup this season in Detroit, recording 23 combined tackles.

The Lions are 4–3 entering Week 8. The Patriots are 6–1.
