Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston has settled a sexual assault lawsuit that dates back to his time in college at Florida State. The accuser’s attorney informed reporters of the news Wednesday.

Winston was accused in 2012 of sexual assault by Erica Kinsman, then also a student at Florida State. He was never charged by police and the state’s attorney never pursued a criminal case against Winston. In December 2014, the Florida Supreme Court ruled there was insufficient evidence to find Winston responsible for violations of the student conduct code.

Winston will dismiss his countersuit against Kinsman in turn. Kinsman sued him in 2015 under accusations of sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Kinsman and Florida State settled a Title IX complaint in January.

The amount of the settlement is undisclosed. Winston, the 2013 Heisman Trophy winner and top pick in the 2015 draft, has quarterbacked Tampa Bay to an 8–5 record this season.
