Seahawks Safety Earl Thomas Out vs. Cardinals With Hamstring Injury

Thomas will miss his second straight game with a hamstring injury he suffered against the Texans.

Seahawks safety Earl Thomas will miss Thursday's game at the Cardinals with a hamstring injury, reports ESPN's Josina Anderson. It will be the second consecutive game that Thomas has missed with the injury, which he suffered during the Seahawks' 41-38 win over the Texans in Week 8.

Thomas did not practice all week was listed as doubtful on the Seahawks' injury report on Thursday.

Thomas, 28, is regarded as one of the best safeties in the league. It's the second consecutive season in which Thomas has missed multiple games—the five-time Pro Bowler suffered a broken leg in Week 12 of last season.

Bradley McDougald filled in for Thomas at free safety on Sunday, when the Seahawks lost 17-14 to the Redskins at home. McDougald, 26, signed a one-year deal with Seattle as a free agent before the season. He spent the previous three seasons with Tampa Bay.
