Who is Nathan Peterman?
Nathan Peterman is a rookie quarterback who is now starting for the Buffalo Bills.
Peterman, 23, was drafted in the fifth round of 2017 draft with the No. 171 pick.
In college, Peterman played two years at Tennessee before transferring to Pittsburgh where he played another two years. He was the 44th ranked prospect out of Florida in the class of 2012 according to 247 Sports.
He played in two of Tennessee's first three games during his redshirt freshman season, and then was the starter for the team's fourth game of the 2013 season. Peterman broke his hand in that contest and then didn't play anymore during that year. His next year he appeared in six games, but only started in one, and he was replaced by Joshua Dobbs after two series in that game.
The next year he transferred to Pittsburgh and was able to immediately play since he graduated from Tennessee in the three years he was there. He had a 61.7 completion percentage and 2,287 passing yards with 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions for the 8-5 Panthers that season. The next year, he helped Pittsburgh go 8-5 once again, including a win over eventual national champion Clemson. Peterman completed 60.5 percent of his passes for 2,855 yards and 27 touchdowns while tossing seven interceptions.
Against the Saints last week he got his first taste of NFL action and went seven-for-10 for 79 yards and one score.
