Last year's Super Bowl was one of the highest Super Bowl scoring contests ever: The Eagles and Patriots scored a combined 74 points on the way to Philadelphia's 41–33 victory.
But the highest-scoring Super Bowl came in January 1995 when the 49ers and Chargers combined for 75 points. Steve Young's San Francisco team beat San Diego 49–26.
No other Super Bowls have combined for 70 points.
Two games tie for the third-highest point mark with 69 points. Those came in 1993 when the Cowboys beat the Bills and in 2003 when the Buccaneers beat the Raiders.
The highest scoring NFL game ever came in 1966 when the Redskins and Giants combined for 113 points.
The Patriots take on the Rams in Super Bowl LIII on Feb. 3 in Atlanta.
