The Los Angeles Rams have traded cornerback Aqib Talib and a fifth-round draft pick to the Miami Dolphins for a future pick, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Talib, 33, was placed on injured reserve due to a rib injury but was eligible to be traded. He fractured his ribs in the Week 5 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He may return later this season.
Last week, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Los Angeles was interested in dealing veteran players to free up contract space. Talib is in the last season of a six-year, $57 million contract that he signed with the Denver Broncos in 2014.
