Patrick Mahomes to Start Sunday vs. Titans After Missing Two Games

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will start on Sunday against the Titans, coach Andy Reid announced on Friday.

Reid said, "unless something changes," Mahomes will start after missing two games with a dislocated right kneecap.

Mahomes suffered the injury during Kansas City's Week 7 game against the Broncos. He participated in limited practice the past two weeks before advancing to full participation this week.

In Mahomes's absence, backup Matt Moore started for the Chiefs. Kansas City fell to the Packers in Week 8 and beat the Vikings last week 26–23 thanks to a late fourth-quarter rally.

Mahomes entered the season favored to win MVP for a second consecutive season. Through seven games, he's recorded 2,180 yards with 15 touchdowns and a 65.1 completion percentage.

The Titans will host the Chiefs on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
