Lamar Jackson Out for Ravens vs. Bengals Sunday, Harbaugh Announces
Lamar Jackson is set to miss his fifth game in a row on Sunday against the Bengals with a knee injury, coach John Harbaugh announced on Friday. It was originally reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Jackson was diagnosed with a sprained posterior cruciate ligament after suffering an injury against the Broncos in Week 13 on Dec. 4.
“Lamar’s working as hard as he can,” Harbaugh told reporters on Friday. “The trainers are working as hard as they can. …That’s where we’re at. He won’t be playing in this game, we’re hopeful for next week.”
In his stead, Tyler Huntley has filled in for the former MVP and the team has gone 3–2 since Jackson’s injury. Huntley has thrown for 658 yards and two touchdowns to three interceptions in his six appearances this year.
Before hurting his knee, Jackson was completing 62.3% of his throws for 2,242 yards, 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions on the year through 12 games. He also rushed for 764 yards and three touchdowns.
Kickoff time for the regular season finale is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on Fox.
