Eagles’ Jason Kelce Announces He Will Return in 2023
Eagles center Jason Kelce has announced that he will return for another year in 2023.
“I have put much thought into whether it makes sense to play another season,” he wrote on Twitter. “After talking it over with my wife and many other friends and family, I have decided to return for another year. Thank you to all my supporters and detractors for fueling me, I ain’t f***ing done yet!”
Philadelphia drafted Kelce out of Cincinnati in 2011 and the veteran has spent his entire career with the team. Kelce has played in every possible game for the team since 2015 and has only missed 18 games total in his career while being an anchor on their offensive line.
Kelce will turn 36 during next season, but he is still one of the better and more reliable players on the Eagles. The veteran will once again enter the season as the starting center while Philadelphia tries to get back to the Super Bowl and win a second championship since 2017.
Kelce’s podcast, the New Heights podcast, shared the video of Kelce giving the news to Eagles general manager Howie Roseman, who was pumped, and the two sharing a drink.
“To next year in Vegas, baby,” Roseman said, referring to the Super Bowl that will take place in Las Vegas.
The Eagles also confirmed the news on Twitter with one fitting video.
