A Giants reunion with Odell Beckham Jr. looks unlikely after the team’s recent acquisitions at the wide receiver position, but New York’s other team is in contact with the two-time All-Pro as he looks to return to football after a year away due to injury.

ESPN’s Dianna Russini reports that the Jets are “interested and staying in touch” with Beckham’s team as he weighs options ahead of the 2023 season. The news comes as New York attempts to secure a trade for Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who confirmed his intention to play for the Jets in 2023 earlier this week.

During his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers denied that he made any demands of the Jets during his meeting with team brass, after it was reported that he has a “wish list” that includes Packers teammates Allen Lazard (who signed a four-year deal with New York), Randall Cobb, Marcedes Lewis and the free agent Beckham.

While he says his “only demand is transparency,” Rodgers added, “Who wouldn’t want Odell on their team?”

Beckham added fuel to the Jets rumors after the wish list report, responding to a tweet by his former teammate Damon “Snacks” Harrison about joining the Jets with the eyes emoji.

Beckham is reportedly seeking a deal worth $20 million per year according to ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio, a hefty price tag for a player that missed the entire 2022 season recovering from a torn ACL suffered in Super Bowl LVI.

The former Giants, Browns and Rams held a workout for NFL teams last week that reportedly had 12 teams in attendance, including the Jets, Bills, Patriots and all three of his former teams.
