Top RB Prospect in NFL Draft Asked Which QB He’d Like to Play With Most

One of the most interesting storylines heading into the NFL draft is where Bijan Robinson will be selected, as the running back is considered one of the most talented players in the draft despite his position.

On Tuesday, Robinson appeared on ESPN’s NFL Live ahead of Thursday’s draft, and analyst Dan Orlovsky asked him which quarterback he most wants to play with, excluding Patrick Mahomes, and to Robinson’s credit, he gave a candid answer.

Jalen Hurts,” he said.

That answer may have been strategic, as Robinson spent time with the Eagles during one of his pre-draft visits, and the running back had nothing but compliments for Philadelphia.

“It was great,” he said. “Building a relationship with the coaches, the support staff, the GM, even the janitor. It was an awesome visit.”

The Eagles have two picks in the first round this year, one at No. 10 and another at No. 30. However, Philadelphia only has drafted a running back in the first three rounds once since Howie Roseman took over as general manager in 2010.

Robinson may be too good for the team to pass up, though. At Texas last year, Robinson ran for 1,580 yards for 18 touchdowns, and he’s widely ranked as the top running back in this year’s class.

In the offseason, the Eagles lost Miles Sanders in free agency, so the running back currently sitting atop the depth chart is Rashaad Penny, who had 346 rushing yards last year with Seattle. Adding Robinson next to Hurts, who totaled 760 rushing yards in 2022, would add another element to an already-dangerous offense.
