Aaron Rodgers Calls First Month With Jets 'a Dream'
A month has now passed since the Jets acquired quarterback Aaron Rodgers from the Packers for draft compensation. It's been an eventful one for the four-time MVP: he's been a frequent presence at New York sporting events, but also suffered a minor calf strain Tuesday at OTAs.
Despite the setback, Rodgers maintained a sunny outlook on his new environment in a Tuesday afternoon press conference.
“Every day I wake up excited about coming to the facility,” Rodgers said. “Now the commute being two minutes really helps. Just rolling out of bed and heading to the facility is nice.”
Overall, Rodgers told reporters, his first month with New York had been “like a dream month.”

After a protracted song and dance with Green Bay—the only team Rodgers had known in his 18-year career—Rodgers publicly stated his intent to play for the Jets on March 15. 40 days later, the Packers dealt him to New York ahead of the NFL draft.
"Rocking Jets gear is a little bit strange, for sure, but every day there's been a little special sign or synchronicity or cool moment that reminds me I'm in the right place," Rodgers said.
The Jets are set to open the 2023 season on Sept. 11 against the Bills on Monday Night Football.
