Bryce Young Shares Surprising Job He Had at Alabama Before NIL

In this story:
Bryce Young may have been the big man on campus in his time at Alabama. But that didn’t mean he didn’t spend some of his free time earning a little extra cash.
While speaking with media on Tuesday, Young, the Panthers’ No. 1 pick in the 2023 draft, said that prior to the arrival of rules allowing for players to profit off their name, image and likeness, he held down a job as a food delivery driver in order to make extra money.
In fact, he would often attempt to hide his identity while delivering food for DoorDash.
"I would have a mask on and wear a hoodie,” said Young. “I would only really accept the 'drop it at my door' orders, so for the most part I didn't really get recognized or anything. You know, this was before NIL, so you know, I wanted to have a little extra money. I feel like a lot of people have done it."

Following his comments, DoorDash shared a response of their own acknowledging Young’s “grind” before he hit his big payday.

After recently signing his rookie contract—a four-year, fully-guaranteed $37.95 million deal—it’s safe to say Young will not be taking his delivery-driving talents to Charlotte.
