Cooper Kupp Out With Hamstring Injury After Leaving Tuesday’s Practice, per Report
Rams star wide receiver Cooper Kupp underwent an MRI on his hamstring and he could return to scrimmage in “a couple of weeks,” according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Kupp left his team’s Tuesday practice early after suffering the injury toward the end of the day.
It’s not ideal, but Kupp could return to the start of his team’s season if only absent for a couple of weeks. Los Angeles’s season kicks off Sept. 10 against the Seahawks.
Kupp is looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2022 campaign where he only appeared in nine games due to a high ankle sprain that required surgery. It was a far cry from his 2021 season where he led the NFL in catches (145), receiving yards (1,947) and receiving touchdowns (16). He capped off the dream-like season with a Super Bowl MVP and signed a three-year, $80 million extension.
Losing Kupp again for any time would seriously hinder a Rams team looking to bounce back from their 5–12 record last year, but it looks like there’s some hope the 30-year-old will be ready to go within the month.
