NFL World Wowed by Aaron Rodgers’ First Touchdown, Game With the Jets

Arguably one of the most anticipated moments of the 2023 NFL preseason finally arrived on Saturday night when Aaron Rodgers made his debut with the Jets.

After looking shaky on the club’s opening drive, Rodgers looked in mid-season form on his second possession needing only four plays to throw his first touchdown in a New York uniform. Following a pass interference penalty against the Giants, Rodgers found star wide receiver Garrett Wilson with a pin-point throw from 14 yards out.

It’s clear that Wilson, the 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year, will be Rodgers’ favorite target as the emerging standout hauled in all three of his targets for 34 yards.

Rodgers would then be replaced by Zach Wilson on the next series, finishing the game 5-of-8 for 47 yards and the score.

Following the brief performance, the NFL world was buzzing about the potential of the Jets offense this season with Rodgers under center.
