NFL Fans Trashed Kadarius Toney After Patrick Mahomes’s Pick-Six vs. Lions

With Travis Kelce sidelined, Chiefs fans were hoping wide receiver Kadarius Toney could pick up the slack and play a big role for the offense in Week 1 against the Lions.

That wasn’t the case early on. Toney had a quiet first half and was responsible for the pick-six Patrick Mahomes threw to Detroit rookie Brian Branch. Mahomes put his pass right on the money for Toney to reel in, but the ball ended up going through the hands of the 24-year-old.

What should have been a positive gain for Kansas City resulted in seven points for the Lions, and NFL fans on social media didn’t hesitate to point the finger at Toney, as his play drew plenty of criticism.
