Aaron Rodgers Says He Might Play Until Age 45, Just Like Tom Brady

NFL fans, specifically fans of the Jets, learned some intriguing news Saturday regarding how many more seasons veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers would like to play.

While speaking with Steve Serby of the New York Post, the 39-year-old signal-caller was asked if he believed he could he could play until age 45 like Tom Brady.

Rodgers, entering his 19th pro season, appears rejuvenated since arriving in New York and said he believes that playing five more seasons isn’t out of the question.

“I think if you would’ve asked me five, six years ago, I would have said probably not. But with the change that’s happened and some of the changes off the field I’ve made, I definitely see that now as a possibility, where before I just didn’t think I’d want to, honestly,” Rodgers told Serby.

The four-time NFL MVP added that he has no intentions of being a one-and-done player for the Jets.

“Oh definitely, yeah definitely. I’d love to play a few years here, not sure if that few is two, or three or … I mean, five would kind of get me to 45. But I definitely don’t want to be a one-and-done here,” said Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers, who’s poised to make his Jets debut Monday night, is entertaining the idea of playing as many as five more NFL seasons.

Rodgers is scheduled to make his Jets debut on Monday Night Football, when the Jets play host to the Bills in Week 1.

“You don’t grow up dreaming about playing the 1 p.m. games. You dream about playing Monday Night Football. It’ll be fun to start the season on a Monday night,” Rodgers said earlier this week.
