Cowboys’ Odighizuwa Trolled Giants With Perfect Oprah Winfrey Impression
The Cowboys opened the 2023 NFL season with a statement win over the Giants, blowing out their division rival 40-0 on the road. Although Dallas scored more points than any other team in the league last week, it was their defense that dominated the game.
During the shutout, the Cowboys totaled seven sacks and 10 tackles for loss as the defensive line controlled the game. A clip from Inside the NFL shows just how confident the Cowboys defense was, which even included Osa Odighizuwa doing an Oprah impression.
“You get a sack, you all get a sack!” Odighizuwa told his teammates. “Now, for those of you in the audience today, if you look underneath your seat, you’ll find there is a sack!”
During the game, five different Cowboys collected at least one sack, with Odighizuwa and Dorance Armstrong each totaling two. Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence and Chauncey Golston also had one sack each.
Odighizuwa’s line is of course a parody of The Oprah Winfrey Show, when Oprah infamously gave away a car to everyone in the audience during an episode.
Last season, the Cowboys were tied for third in the league in total sacks with 54, so it is not a surprise that they had such a strong performance to open the season. Clearly, through how they were talking during the game, Dallas’s defense knows just how dominant it can be.
