Breece Hall on Jets' Struggles in Run Game: 'I Only Got Four Touches'

Jets running back Breece Hall did not appear to be too thrilled with his involvement in the offense during Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys.

After the game, during which he recorded just four carries and zero catches on two targets, Hall was asked about the team’s struggles in the rushing game, to which he gave an honest answer.

“I mean, I only got four touches,” said Hall, via Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic. “That’s why we struggled. It is what it is. We just got down early today and just abandoned the run.”

Hall also posted and later deleted a post on X, in which he had written four football emojis, seemingly in reference to the amount of carries he had.

After toting the ball 10 times and racking up 127 yards in the team’s season opener against the Bills, Hall was much less involved in the gameplan in Week 2. While that can largely be attributed to New York falling behind early, the 22-year-old didn’t seem thrilled his limited usage.

Other than Wilson, who had five carries for 36 yards, no Jets rusher surpassed 10 yards on the ground. Dalvin Cook had four carries for seven yards and Michael Carter had two carries for eight yards.
