Bills Legend Takeo Spikes Rips Team Over Awful Seats After Pre-Game Honor
The Bills honored former linebacker Takeo Spikes ahead of their Week 2 clash against the Raiders as a “Legend of the Game.” Spikes walked on the field and led the crowd in Buffalo in a pre-game cheer, but it seems when it came time to find his seat, the accommodations weren’t quite befitting his status as a franchise legend.
Spikes took to X, formerly Twitter, to call out the organization over his seating accommodations, sharing a photo from a suite with a significantly obstructed view of the field.
The 46-year-old informed the team that he did not stay for the entire game as a result of his seats, which he described as making him feel like he was “in timeout.”
“Congrats to @BuffaloBills for getting a dominant win in home opener. I wish I could've stayed for the entire game but seating accommodations were NOT the standard. How you gonna have the @NFLLegends supporting with this obstructed sample size of a view!? Felt like I was in timeout,” wrote Spikes on X.
While the Bills picked up a 38–10 win over Las Vegas, it seems Spikes didn’t stick around to catch the end of it.
Spikes played 15 years in the NFL, including four in Buffalo from 2003-06, where he made two Pro Bowls and was selected to one All-Pro First Team.
