Rams CB Ahkello Witherspoon Made an Unbelievable Interception on ‘Monday Night Football’

Rams cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon recorded a surreal interception of Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow on Monday night, snatching the ball out of the grasp of Tyler Boyd with one hand.

Witherspoon effectively stole a big gain from Boyd and turned it into an interception after he deftly plucked the ball away from Cincinnati’s wide receiver, who had nearly come away with the catch. 

Boyd was clutching the ball to his chest when Witherspoon managed to scoop it free with his right hand while diving in the air. He maintained possession as he fell to the ground, capping off the sensational defensive play.

The Bengals had been building momentum after taking their first lead of the NFL season, but the defensive back’s heroics stopped Burrow and company in their tracks for the moment despite Cincinnati going on to win, 19–16. 

The incredible individual effort did not go unnoticed by fans on social media, who had plenty to say about Witherspoon’s interception.
