Bryce Young Takes Big Step Towards Returning to Panthers’ Starting Lineup

Panthers head coach Frank Reich said that quarterback Bryce Young will return to practice on Wednesday. However, while Young is making progress, Reich didn’t say how much he would practice or commit to the quarterback returning this week.

“Credit to Bryce,” Reich said, via The Athletic’s Joe Person. “At the beginning we were thinking two (weeks out).”

Young missed last week’s game against the Seahawks after he injured his ankle in a Week 2 game against vs. Saints, despite playing the entirety of that game.

On the season, Young has produced 299 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in his first two NFL games. In Young’s place, veteran Andy Dalton started for the Panthers in Seattle, putting up 361 passing yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions in the loss.

Carolina is 0-3 to begin the year, but the Panthers host the 0-3 Vikings this week, ensuring someone will get their first victory, barring that there is not a tie.
