Packers’ Matt LaFleur Snaps at Reporter After Loss to Lions: ‘That’s a BS Question’

Packers coach Matt LaFleur was understandably upset following Thursday night’s 34–20 loss to the Lions. Even at halftime, with the Lions leading 27–3, he was cranky, calling his team’s performance “humbling” and “embarrassing.”

LaFleur was still sore about that first half when responding to a reporter’s question after the game.

“We got our a– kicked,” LaFleur snapped in response to the Green Bay Press-Gazette’s Pete Dougherty. “If I knew, it wouldn’t have happened. That’s a BS question, man.”

Though Green Bay showed some fight in the third quarter, Detroit dominated the line of scrimmage throughout the contest. LaFleur obviously was expecting more out of his team, likely hoping there would be motivation to avenge last season’s loss to the Lions at Lambeau Field that cost the Packers a playoff spot.

Instead, Detroit pushed Green Bay around and asserted itself as the best team in the NFC North.

“They came in and whooped us pretty good,” LaFleur added, per Pro Football Talk. “They manhandled us, really, in every phase.”
