Browns’ David Njoku Suffers Burns to Face, Arms in Freak Household Accident

Browns tight end David Njoku was abruptly added to the team’s injury report Saturday afternoon following a frightening incident at his home.

The team announced in a press release that Njoku sustained burns to his face and arm in a “household incident.” No further details were provided, but the 27-year-old’s status was changed to questionable for Sunday’s game against the Ravens.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported shortly thereafter that Njoku sustained the burns from an incident involving his backyard fire pit. Despite the injuries, Njoku’s agent said the tight end is doing O.K.

“Thank you everyone for reaching out, but David Njoku is ok, thank God,” Malki Kawa wrote on social media Saturday.
