Aaron Rodgers Preaches Patience to Packers Fans Amid Jordan Love Concerns

After a hot start to the season, Packers quarterback Jordan Love has struggled recently, throwing five interceptions in the last two games. Green Bay is now 2-3 on the year, as it tries to navigate having a first-year starter at the helm.

No one knows what Love is going through like Aaron Rodgers, and despite Love’s struggles, Rodgers still believes in his former teammate. While appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers revealed he spoke with Love after Monday’s game and explained what advice he has for him.

“The important thing as a quarterback is just trying to keep your confidence, not getting into all the bulls***, realize it’s just part of it,” Rodgers said. “There’s gonna be ups and downs in your career, ups and downs in the season. You’ve just got to keep pushing through, be the same guy every day.”

Rodgers not only spent 15 years as the Packers’ starting quarterback, but also sat as the backup for the first three years just as Love did. Combine that with Rodgers spending three seasons with Love in the Packers’ quarterback room, and the veteran is uniquely qualified to address his former teammate’s struggles.

Therefore, Rodgers notably stood by Love, arguing that his issues are pretty normal for someone in his situation. The Jets quarterback still believes that Love will be with the Packers for “a while.”

“There’s going to be growing pains…we all go through it,” Rodgers said. “He’s going to be just fine.”
