49ers running back Christian McCaffrey was forced out of Sunday's game against the Browns due to an oblique injury.

McCaffrey was able to make an impact on the game before his departure, opening up the scoring for San Francisco with an early touchdown. It was his 15th consecutive game with a score.

But later in the game, McCaffrey would have to leave the field due to his injury.

On the sidelines, he could be seen attempting to get loose so he could get back out on the field.

McCaffrey was initially listed as questionable to return, and eventually made it back onto the field. Not long after he retook the field, he was forced out again and went to the locker room.

The quick-changing news made a mess of Adam Schefter's timeline.

McCaffrey has been the best running back in the league so far this season, leading the NFL in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns through five weeks.
