Justin Tucker’s Thoughtful Postgame Speech About His Role on the Ravens Wowed John Harbaugh

Baltimore’s kicker got really deep with his teammates after last week’s win over the Titans.

Justin Tucker’s postgame speech after the Ravens’ win over the Titans last Sunday was almost as good as his kicking itself, and produced an epic reaction from his head coach.

Tucker was awarded the game ball in the locker room after making six field goals without a miss, accounting for 18 of the Ravens’ 24 points and single-handedly outscoring the Titans 18–16. After being called “the best [kicker] that’s ever been” by coach John Harbaugh, Tucker delivered an awesome speech that left Harbaugh speechless.

“I couldn’t be happier and more proud of a team where every once in a while, I get to be the punctuation, I get to be the exclamation point,” Tucker said. “You guys are the paragraph, you guys are the story… I appreciate you guys getting us down the field and giving us the opportunity.”

The line about the rest of the team being “the story” was excellent wordsmithing, and Harbaugh’s jaw dropped when he heard it, mouthing “Wow” with a grin on his face.
