NFL Fans Crushed Cowboys’ Mike McCarthy Over Dreadful Decisions in Final Seconds of Loss

The Cowboys and Eagles went down to the wire during Week 9’s clash, but Dallas came up short in its last-drive effort, losing out 28–23.

The Cowboys found themselves with a great chance to score during the final drive of the game, bolstered by some costly mistakes by Philadelphia’s defense but ultimately, Mike McCarthy’s decision-making ended up costing the team.

Dallas had the ball at the six-yard line with 27 seconds left on the clock before the offense imploded. From there, the Cowboys proceeded to get flagged for a false start, followed by an 11-yard loss on a sack of Dak Prescott. Prescott then threw an incomplete pass to Jalen Tolbert and was whistled for a delay of game on the following play.

On fourth down, Dallas’s last gasp, Prescott threw the ball short of the end zone to CeeDee Lamb, who was tackled at the four-yard line before he was tackled and fumbled the ball as time expired.

After the Cowboys effectively threw away their chance at scoring a game-winning touchdown, fans on social media were fuming and they ripped into McCarthy and the team.
