Jaguars’ Zay Jones Arrested on Domestic Battery Charge, per Report

Jaguars wide receiver Zay Jones was reportedly arrested on Monday on a charge of misdemeanor domestic battery, Fan Nation’s John Shipley reports.

Jones was reportedly arrested by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and booked at around 6:00 p.m. local time.

Jones, 28, was arrested on a charge of domestic battery causing bodily harm. He’s due to appear in court on Tuesday morning.

“We are aware of the situation and are in the midst of gathering information. We will have no further comment at this time,” a Jaguars spokesperson said in a statement on Monday evening.

Jones has appeared in three games for Jacksonville this season, registering eight receptions and two touchdowns. He’s in his second season with the franchise, having signed a three-year, $24 million deal with the team in 2022. He recorded a career-high 82 receptions and 823 yards last season.

The eight-year veteran last featured for the Jaguars in Week 5, but has been inactive in each of the past four games while dealing with a knee injury.
