Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs lost to the Eagles on Monday night, 21–17, but they came so close to winning the game in the final minutes when it looked like the two-time MVP hit a receiver in stride for what would have been a long touchdown pass. 

Instead, Marquez Valdes-Scantling had the ball go through his hands and fall to the ground. It was a brutal drop that had everyone on social media in utter disbelief

Mahomes spoke about the drop after the game, putting the blame on himself rather than on his receiver, saying he could have thrown a better pass.
